Frugal Sundays * *

Hello crafters,

When it comes to packaging and shipping I try to recycle as much as I can, and love it when I make things myself.

I do enjoy making my tags, jewelry cards, little fabric drawstring bags, or fabric envelopes, and spend a lot of time doing them. I do everything myself and like I said, enjoy every minute of it.

The only thing I usually buy made is the different sized plastic bags that I use. :)

Today I want to show you what I use to make
my tags and jewelry cards, and maybe you might enjoy doing the same.

Please excuse the pictures because my batteries died.

I am a fanatic when it comes to tissues. I need a box in every room, and love the pictures they have now on the boxes.

So of course I just had to put them to use.  Above is one of many different tissue boxes that I cut up and use for my tags and jewelry cards. Love to re-cycle!

I cut the sides because they are one solid piece with no seams in the middle or ends. I use as much as I can.

You can see all the wonderful pictures, patterns, and colours.

Then I paint the back side with Acrylic paint before cutting into different shapes. You can leave the back plain if you're not into painting, I just like to use different colours and paint the backs. :)

I only have the pinking shears so I use what I have and give some a zig zag edge, and leave some with a straight edge. If you have different types of scissors then you can really mix them up.

The picture above is for tags. I complete a bit and leave the rest for stock. When I start to get low I just complete a few more.

Same goes for my jewelry cards.  With the help of a small hole punch, I just punch holes for the earrings to hang and voila. If I need a wider hole for clips, I just punch two holes together to make one larger hole.

On the first sample above is a pair of earrings on one of my cards that I then put into a plastic bag, added one of my business cards to the top, a pretty little paper flower that I stamped with my Business name and stapled to the bag.  The second picture if of a bracelet that I have laying on a card with a fun edge, a hole on each end to use ribbon to tie down and then package.

I even used my sewing machine to add some pizazz.  I'm sure you can come up with many ways to decorate them.

The stamp was free from Vista Print and the paper flower came in a bag with at least 50 other paper flowers of different sizes for a dollar from a Dollar Store. :)

Now that's Frugal!

Go make some for yourself!, and if you have some extra hands available you can all have a bit of fun together.

Have a great week ahead.

Talk soon.
Don't wait to Create.
